Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority

ElectroMitry has always been in continuous cooperation with the Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority in several projects. In addition, ElectroMitry is cooperating with the Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority (AEA) in an attempt to obtain clearance and legalization for food treatment by ionizing radiation.

Egypt’s Second Research Reactor:

In 1995, ElectroMitry did supply and install Egypt's 22 Megawatt Multi-Purpose Research reactor in Inshas.

Egypt’s 22 megawatt Multi-Purpose Research Reactor was commissioned early Feb. 98 in the Nuclear Research Center, Atomic Energy Authority. As an agent of INVAP S.A. ARGENTINA ElectroMitry supplied and installed the reactor, which has been inaugurated in 1995 in the Nuclear Research Center with an overhead budget around 120 Million US $.

Egypt's Second Research Reactor (ET-RR-2) is a Multi-Purpose Reactor utilized for advanced research and development applications. This is a 22 MW thermal reactor, with a neutron flux of 2.7x1014 n/cm-2s-1.

Utilization of the reactor includes fundamental research, radioisotope production for medical, industrial, and other applications, neutron irradiation, neutron radiography and neutron activation analysis …etc.

Mini Pilot Plant for the (Nuclear Material Authority) :- (Under study) - For separation of Pure Zirconium and hafnium Oxides from Zircon Mineral Concentrate. For Monazite Processing and Recovery of Pure Individual Rare earth Oxides.

National Center for Radiation Research & Technology (NCRRT):

The NCRRT is one of the main centers in the EAEA where ElectroMitry works along with the center in many fields.

Supplying 900 K Curies Cobalt-60 Sources of type C-188 for the two radiation facilities for the National Center for Radiation Research & Technology (NCRRT) in the Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority during 2014. As an agent of JSC Isotope (Enterprise of Rosatom State Corporation) RUSSIA.

Supplying and Installation of a Self-Protecting Gamma Installation “Issledovatel” at the National Center for Radiation Research and Technology (NCRRT). As an agent of TENEX: RUSSIA.

Supplying 200000 Curies of Cobalt-60 each two years to the NCRRT. As an agent of NORDION: CANADA.
Supplying and installing of a Low Energy Electron Beam Accelerator for Industrial Application for the National Center for Radiation Research and Technology (NCRRT) as an agent of TENEX: RUSSIA.
Supplying and installing of a Gammacell CM-20 for the NCRRT as an agent of TENEX: RUSSIA
Supplying and installing of an Industrial Gamma Irradiation plant for treatment of food products for the NCRRT and sterilization of Medical stuff (RPP-150) as an agent of NORDION: CANADA.
Supplying & installation an Upgrade & Development for the Electrostatic Accelerator from 1.5 MeV to 3 MeV in the National Center for Radiation Research and Technology (NCRRT), Atomic Energy Authority as an agent of VIVIRAD France (Under implementation)
Supplying & installation of Gammacell 220 Self-contained Research for the Dose Measurement Lab in the NCRRT in Nasr City.

Egyptian Radiation Monitoring Network:

ElectroMitry was awarded a contract for Installation of the Egyptian Radiation Monitoring Network, (for approx. 50 stations) one of the most important projects of Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority within its environmental radiation protection system.

Nuclear Research Center (NRC):

Through big brands as TENEX Russia and High Voltage Engineering Europa, ElectroMitry succeeded in providing different technologies to the Center in Egypt.

Supplying and installing of a Heavy Ion Injector for isotope Separator in the Nuclear Research Center (NRC), which was operated in 1997 as an agent of TENEX: RUSSIA.

Supplying & installing of a Tandem Electrostatic Accelerator for the Cyclotron Project in Nuclear Research Center (NRC) Atomic Energy Authority as an agent of NETHERLANDS: High Voltage Engineering Europa (HVEE).
Supplying & installation an Upgrade for the Tandem Electrostatic Accelerator for the Cyclotron Project in Nuclear Research Center (NRC) Atomic Energy Authority as an agent of High Voltage. Also, Supplying & installation of an AMS as extension for the fore-mentioned Accelerator to the NRC.

Supplying and installation of a Gamma-cell CM-20 for the Egyptian Cyclotron Project as an agent of TENEX: RUSSIA.
